So I feel that recently I have made a bit of progress in my abilities as a Tattooist. By no means would I class myself as a Tattoo Artist yet, but I definately feel that im heading in the right direction.

I am loving my black and grey work at the moment. Like I feel I have a much deeper understanding of the application of black and grey than I do anything else.

Im really looking forward to future projects where i can explore with colour, but at the moment i feel really happy with the black and grey i am making too :)

Good times!!

MAN MAKE FIRE

Why is it that it doesnt matter where you are or how old you get,

it still feels so fucking good to stand around a bonfire.

Must be a throwback from primitive man that we are still in awe of fire and love to burn stuff.

Not so great for the rising element of Climate Change, but im guessing China have more to be blamed for than a few of us burning some sticks in a forest.

Bloody China, always blowing off and burning coal.

Have some consideration.

Christmas

Religious Festival or Corporate Holiday??

Who gives a fuck as long as I get a roast dinner.

That is all.

Productive!

Today I have been surrounded by productive people

It makes you feel so energised to have other people around you who are passionate about things.

And especially when those people are some of your best friends.

Social Networking Slander

It has come to my attention recently, that even the most trustworthy and respectful person can be completely corrupted by Facebook.

As a social networking site, it is a brilliant construct. Worth nearly a trillion dollars in total ownership, it offers an amazing service and it is the most visited website on the internet everyday second only to Google….

HOWEVER…

It also seems to provoke jealousy and hatred between groups of people. Drive divides between happy marriages and relationships and generally brings out the worst qualities in people.

So many arguments I hear about start with the prefix “Yeah, they were talking on Facebook”

Its ridiculous how something as mundane as a social network can create such life shattering shit for people. Young and Old.

Thankyou Mark Zuckerberg.

Eyes Like Piss Holes In The Snow

This week so far has been really productive.

Ive been really busy at work, which is always good and motivates me to work harder and create my best work….

However, one side affect of working as a full time Tattooist is that at the end of the day, your eyes feel like you dipped them in Cillit Bang.

BANG AND YOUR SIGHT IS GONE!!

Its just an occupational hazard I suppose. When you are concentrating for long periods of time it takes a while for your body to build up a tolerance to it.

Either that, or ill go blind…

We’ll see….Or maybe not?

Deeper Than Art

So…This post is basically just for me to say how much I love being a Tattooer.

As time goes on and I learn more and develop the skills I will use for the rest of my career it just keeps getting better and better.

And I owe all of that happiness to my bosses Garry Brown and Angie Catchpole, two of the kindest and most talented Tattoo Artists ive ever met.

Im glad I left it a little bit later to start work and tattoo people because its given me a much better attitude towards the whole artform. I am able to build my career the way Iwant to without having to worry about my situation.

I turned 22 last month, and I feel like if I can keep the years they way they have been since ive been tattooing, my life is going to be amazing.

Im just so excited for things to come.

So all you people out there who I have already tattooed, and those of you I will tattoo in the future, I just wanna say thankyou. You are the best.
